About Believers Worship Centre

The Church is the final manifestation of Gods’ establishment of his works through his servant Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah (The Voice of God). The church was founded upon divine revelation, prayer, worship, healing, deliverance, and the restoration of true fellowship with God through Jesus Christ.

The journey of the church began in 1988 at Kwara State, Ilorin, Nigeria, after Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah (The Voice of God) received the call of God on Sobi Mountain. Following this divine encounter, he established the Group of Believers Church in Nigeria in the same year as part of his missionary assignment.

In 1995, the mission expanded into Benin (formerly Dahomey), where the work of evangelism and prayer continued. Two years later, in 1997, he returned to Ghana and established The Group of Believers Prayer Camp at Asiakwa in the Eastern Region, his hometown. The church later moved to Cape Coast before continuing to Côte d’Ivoire in 1999.

While in Côte d’Ivoire, he received a prophecy concerning a prolonged political crisis that would begin from December 1999 and continue for several years. Awaiting further divine direction, he eventually returned to Ghana in 2002 and settled in Obuasi in the Ashanti Region, where he established the Adom Prayer and Healing Camp. The church at Obuasi became known for intense prayer, healing, deliverance, and spiritual revival.

In 2008, he received another divine direction to relocate to Kumasi, described spiritually as the “Promised Land.” There, the Holy Spirit gave instruction for the establishment of the Believers Worship Centre (BWC). The Church was officially inaugurated on January 24th, 2010 at Anwomaso, a suburb of Kumasi, where members worshipped faithfully under mango trees for nearly two years despite numerous challenges.

By God’s mystery and grace, the church later moved into what is now known as The Temple of  God, a remarkable worship center located at Kenyase Adwumam (Teacher Nkwanta), off the Kumasi Airport–Buokrom, Antoa Road. The structure remains a testimony to God’s provision and divine establishment, as it was not built through financial burdens placed on members but through what the Church describes as God’s supernatural intervention and direction.

The first official service at the Temple was held on Sunday, March 25th, 2012, and since then the Church has continued to experience tremendous growth and testimonies of God’s power. Today, Believers Worship Centre has become an international church with branches and worship centers across Ghana and several parts of the world.

The Church is known for its emphasis on:

  • True worship of God in spirit and in truth
  • Prayer and direct fellowship with God through Jesus Christ
  • Healing and deliverance services
  • Sound spiritual teachings and revelation
  • Faith, holiness, discipline, and transformation
  • Prophetic guidance and biblical truth

Its weekly services, especially Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays, attract thousands of worshippers from different backgrounds. Programs like healing and deliverance services held as part of services draw people from across Ghana and internationally who seek spiritual renewal, healing, and divine intervention.

Beyond worship services, the Centre continues to expand its impact through media broadcasting, humanitarian support, youth empowerment, music ministry, counseling, and spiritual education. Through its teachings and outreach programs, the Church seeks to empower believers to develop a personal relationship with God and live victorious lives founded on faith and truth.

Today, Believers Worship Centre stands as a symbol of faith, perseverance, divine direction, and spiritual revival, continuing its mission of spreading the message of Christ and transforming lives around the world.
