Following the massive birthday donations by the Philadelphia Queen Mother (Nana Hemaa Owoahene Owoabrempong Ahwenepa Nkasa Adom Kyei-Duah I) to nine(9) reputable hospitals in Ghana, the Atonsu-Agogo hospital took a very important step to appreciate her officially a month after on Wednesday, 14th June, 2023 in the auditorium of Believers Worship Centre, Kumasi Kenyasi Adwumam-Teacher Nkwanta.
Committed to an extensive humanitarian services is one of the many integral parts of The Philadelphia Queen Mother. Therefore, as part of her 41st birthday celebration in May 8, 2023, she was directed by her heart to visit some selected hospitals in the Ashanti and Greater Accra Region to help lift the financial burden on new mothers who have had a successful child delivery but are still kept in the hospital for some period of time due to their inability to settle required medical bills. The general complaints from most hospitals has it that; overstaying allocated time in the hospital raises an alarming issue of congestion or unavailable space which poses as a challenge for new patients to come in to receive their treatments. The challenge in Atonsu-Agogo female’s ward was no different. Notably, it was in the assumption of many people that; the donation was meant for only Philadelphia members in the hospital. But on a contrary, the payment of bills outreached all women in the selected hospitals regardless of their religion, belief, ethnicity or race. This underscore the indiscriminate love and compassion that Owoahene Owoabrempong has for people.
Representing the Atonsu-Agogo hospital, Mr. Frank Kumi(PRO of the hospital), Mr. Owusu Ansah(Accounts Officer of the hospital), Mrs. Sheila Nkansah (Head of Staff, Female’s Ward), and Madam Mariam Osei (General Secretary) filled the entire auditorium with joy and honour as they embarked on the presentation of a beautifully designed citation plaque to Owoahene Owoabrempong Ahwenepa Nkasa Adom Kyei-Duah I to show their indebt gratitude for being an extraordinary gift to the women and the hospital at large. The message on the citation was read out loud, and every word of it echoed the love, power, inspiration and selfless dedication embedded in The Philadelphia Queen Mother. Out of appreciation and acceptance, Owoahene Owoabrempong Ahwenepa Nkasa Adom Kyei-Duah I gave her remarks after receiving the honour;
“As I was prepping towards my birthday, it dropped in my spirit to visit the vulnerable new mothers in some selected hospitals and give a helping hand to them. I informed our father Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah (The Voice of God) and he gave me the green light without hesitating. Moreover, he gave me his maximum support seeing to it that my heart desires come alive. I am completely overwhelmed by this unannounced acknowledgement. Matter of fact, I did the donation from a pure heart without expecting anything in return. I am truly grateful, and I pray that God grants all the workers at the hospital the needed strength and wisdom to undertake any health case that comes on their desk “.
The general overseer, founder and leader of Believers Worship Centre and The Philadelphia Movement, Stephen Adom Kyei-Duah (The Voice of God) also added to the vote of thanks;
“The church has also not seen such a wonderful gesture and I’m so impressed and grateful to the entire staff for honouring our Queen Mother this way. One thing that stimulates my interest in the health sector is the symbol of “cross” tagged on the practitioners uniform. The tag significantly represents the healing power generated from the blood of Jesus that was shed on the cross. It has naturally being endowed in our trained health personnels to be maintained and regenerated. Hence, the services of health professionals are indispensable. Therefore we salute them and give them all the much deserving credit. May the Lord continue to bless them”.
